Hi, my friend. You requested critique on your artwork a few days ago so I stopped at this one first.
Since you have already defined this one a cliché (your words) sort of scene, I will only concentrate on the technical aspect, since that is also what you are interested in improving.

The first thing I notice is of course the girl in the corner which you have set as the primary focal point. I can see a slight white area around her which I am not sure is intentional on your part (?), but it does give a slight impression that the cutting here might have benefited a little more care. Especially the area around her hair. Hair is not the easiest thing to separate from a background, but with a thin, soft brush with a low opacity, it can be done well.

I would perhaps also have softened some areas on the girl herself because she appears a bit sharp in comparison to the rest of the background. Like for example her hair. The same with the butterflies, I think. They would look better with a slight blur. Very slight.

I realize that you have beams from the moon/sun (?) hitting the girl, but since this is a dark setting, her levels could be turned down just a tiny bit. Her skin is very bright, so you can do that and make her look better into the scene.

My favourite thing about this piece is the castle. It looks very mystical and soft. That is well done. I might have softened the horizon line a little to fit with the all around soft look that you have created.

The clouds and the sky look very good too, although composition-wise there is a lot of dark on the right side, which is the same side that you have placed the girl, and so it becomes a little imbalanced. But you do have the castle and stone there on the left side, so it's not too bad. If it were myself, I would resolve this by moving the darkest part of the sky (showing between the clouds) a bit to the left/closer to the middle for the best balance.

The doodles on the bottom left I would have completely dropped. They disturb the whole scene. Keep it simple. :)

That's about all I can point at for now. The tones and colours are very good and you have textured the work quite well.
